We just spent 2 weeks chillaxing in Okinawa, Japan and here is how we would spent the perfect 5 days if we were to do it again!
To start wi’ you’ll have to get yoursen a flight to Naha, one of Okinawa’s main islands – and possibly most popular.
Naha
Spend 1 day exploring Naha; you can hire a car to explore more of the island or get the monorail if you want to explore in town.
Best places to stay in Naha
We stayed at My Place which is a short bus journey away from Naha Airport, and located conveniently next to the ferry port.
Check out sites like Shurijo Castle, Kouri Island, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium.
Tokashiki Island
Take the ferry over to the smaller Tokashiki Island and spend 2 days there; snorkelling, cycling, and hiking to viewpoints.
Best places to stay in Tokashiki
We stayed at Shima Ashibi which is a 5 minute walk from the ferry port, but a 40 minute walk from Tokashiki Beach or short bus ride from Aharen Beach.
Make sure to read our blog for everything you need to know before you go, take a look at where we stayed on Tokashiki island here on TikTok.
