Tokyo is enormous. Properly, bewilderingly, brilliantly enormous. With 130+ points of interest packed onto this map, we’ve done the weeks of research so tha doesn’t have to. From free temples tha can wander at dawn to budget ramen spots the tourists never find, from the best viewpoints over the city skyline to hotels at every price point with direct booking links, it’s all in here.

Why we made it

We spent two separate stints in Tokyo across our Japan trip and made every mistake a first-timer makes. Paid too much for food too close to a temple. Missed a viewpoint because we didn’t know it existed. Walked past a brilliant cheap hotel district without realising it were there. This map is the result of learning those lessons the expensive way so tha doesn’t have to learn them at all.
