We’re Tight Travellers — a Yorkshire couple creating honest, experience-led travel content with a focus on value, realism and getting the most out of a trip without spending a fortune.
What started as a personal travel diary has grown into a portfolio of first-person travel writing, destination features, road trip content and accommodation reviews, all based on places we’ve actually been and trips we’ve planned ourselves.
Our writing blends storytelling with practical detail, aiming to be genuinely useful while still enjoyable to read.
What We Do
Travel Writing
We create narrative-led travel content that combines personal experience with clear, informative insight. Our work suits publications and platforms looking for:

This includes detailed reviews of our TentBox, based on real-world use across multiple trips. We don’t do paid praise — every review reflects our genuine experience.
Road Trips & Route Planning
Road trips are a core part of our content. We’ve planned and completed five road trips so far, covering both UK and international routes, and we handle all planning ourselves — accommodation, distances, timings and stopovers.
We regularly create:

- realistic daily driving plans
- practical tips based on what worked (and what didn’t)
We like to think we’re pretty good at this now — and our content reflects that confidence without pretending every trip was perfect.

We create custom Google My Maps for our routes and itineraries, helping readers (and partners) visualise journeys clearly. These maps can be adapted for:
