This is a family run B&B located close to Pompeii ruins. The host was very friendly and welcoming. He is also a licensed tour guide for the Pompeii ruins and offers both private and group tours. As proud Yorkshire folk, and tight travellers, we decided to tour the ruins ourselves and rented an audio guide. The B&B host provided us with tips and information to make the trip more interesting and fun.
The house does come with a resident dog which is rather cute and friendly.

Rooms and facilities
The Pompeii B&B, Maison de Charme is just outside of Pompeii, down a typical narrow Italian road. They have several rooms on the top floor. There are a few more rooms downstairs. All have private bathrooms. The rooms on the top floor are a bit more modern, with a seating area on the terrace. The downstairs rooms are a bit smaller, but still nothing to grumble about.
There is a communal kitchen, and also a communal dining area. This is where breakfast is served. We stayed in the rooms downstairs, which is right next to the communal areas. You may struggle for a lie in. People will be coming down for breakfast from about 7 in the morning.

Location
The B&B is a 20 minute walk from the entrance to the Pompeii ruins. It is only 15 minutes into the centre of Pompeii. There are plenty of restaurants and tat stalls just outside the ruins. In the centre, you will find all your naff clothes shops. Many fancy ice cream shops also which will rob you blind for some fancy cone.
Now, we love pizza. This is not a light statement. Our B&B host recommended a local pizza restaurant just down the road called Addù Fabbio. It was the best pizza we have had. You’ll end up eating here more than once I promise. Just get a classic Margherita and you can thank us later. The best bit? It will literally cost you £5 for a full 10″.

Breakfast
We didn’t have the best breakfast at the B&B but it was not the worst. They have a mix day after day. It will consist of a cold cuts of meat along with cheese. There are also some pastries, jams, and a few yogurts.
The coffee though was to die for! Italians really know how to make a good cup of coffee.
Cost
The all important one. We paid £250 for 4 nights which we think is a proper bargain. Prices average around £70 a night for 2 people. This price is really good considering the location and the breakfast included.
